    Correct your page

Point at the mistake. Show the source.

You can challenge a specific finding or review without a claim, an account or any payment. Cases are decided automatically against a deadline, and each one ends with a reasoned outcome.

Report version 2 / Corrected / Fictional example
Refund terms on the delivery page contradict match the returns page.

    Four problems, four routes.

    1. An old detail about your website

      Propose a factual update

Your statement appears as the website's own claim. Where it differs from what a check observed, both stay visible and separate.

      Claimed representatives
    2. A finding that's wrong

      Challenge that finding

Point at the exact statement on the exact version of your page, say what's wrong and propose the correction.

Anyone. No claim, account or payment
    3. A review that breaks the rules

      Challenge that review

Name the concrete problem, such as private details, a threat or a statement a source contradicts. A review you dislike stays up.

Anyone. No claim, account or payment
    4. A decision you think is wrong

      Appeal it

A separate automated process looks again at the original material, your reasons and any new evidence. It treats the first decision as context only.

    A challenge that can succeed.

    Case file / Fictional example
    The statement
Finding, checked 28 October 2026: “Refund terms on the delivery page contradict the returns page.”
    The problem
The delivery page was out of date. It was changed on 30 October, so the two pages now match.
    Proposed correction
Remove the contradiction from the current version of the report.
    Evidence
harbour-candles.test/delivery and harbour-candles.test/returns, both showing the 30-day refund wording.

You can attach private evidence and a contact, and both stay private. Remove customer details first. With no contact, your notice is still acted on, but we can't follow up with you.

What moves a case, and what doesn't.

    Works

    • The exact words you dispute, quoted
    • A public source that contradicts them, with a link and date
    • The current page, if your site changed after the check date
    • The specific rule a review breaks, and the part that breaks it

    Doesn't work

    • “This is false”, on its own
    • Lots of people reporting the same thing
    • Your “Website control checked” badge
    • Having refunded the reviewer

Every case ends in one of four stamps.

    • Upheld

The statement is corrected or withdrawn in a new version.

    • Partly upheld

The part you showed to be wrong is corrected. The rest stands.

    • Not upheld

It stays, and you get the reason.

    • Insufficient support

The disputed interpretation is withheld. Supported facts stay.

A correction reaches your page, search results, timeline and saved alerts. If you disagree, you can ask for one automated reconsideration, and new evidence can reopen a case later. Neither step is a human review.

    What it says
Someone with an account on Scam Finder published our one-time value on this exact website, on the date shown.
    What it doesn't say
That the business is trustworthy, safe or registered, or that any review or finding is right. A scammer can control their own website too.
    When it goes
It lasts while the claim is active. Claims expire and need a recheck, and a claim can be disputed or revoked.
