    About Scam Finder

Never trust an About page. This one included.

A fake shop can write one in an afternoon. It reads exactly like a real one, and that’s the problem Scam Finder exists to fix.

5 claims. How many could you prove?

    Why it exists

A seller shouldn’t be the only one telling the story.

A scam works when you have only the seller’s word. The page, the badges and the countdown all come from one source. Scam Finder puts two things beside that story, and the company writes neither.

    • “Trusted since 2009.”

      Written by the shop

      Costs nothing to type.

    • “Registered 19 days ago.”

      From the domain record

Automated checks bring dated records like this.

      Methodology
    • “Tracking stopped after two days.”

Written by someone who says they paid

Experiences bring attributed accounts like this.

      Community guidelines

Reviews never feed the automated check, so neither can lean on the other. All three examples above are fictional.

    Who it’s for

Scam Finder is for the person with their card already out on a shop they met in an advert ten minutes ago.

It’s for anyone checking a link a parent forwarded before it costs them a pension.

It’s for people who already paid and want the next buyer warned.

And it’s for the owner of an honest website who should be judged on evidence, and can answer it.

All of it is free and paid for by the owner. There are no ads and no plans, so a company has nothing to buy here.

    What it won’t do

Six sentences you won’t read here.

    • Scam Finder won’t say: “This company is a scam.”

A check reports dated evidence about one exact website, with sources. What it means for your money is your call.

    • Scam Finder won’t say: “This website is safe.”

The calmest result is “No notable concerns found in this check”, and it comes with limitations and no guarantee. Missing evidence never counts as a pass, and no check catches every scam.

    • Scam Finder won’t say: “Rated 4.7 stars. Trust score 92%.”

There are no stars and no public score. Automated findings and people’s experiences stay in separate sections and never merge into one number. See how to read both.

    • Scam Finder won’t say: “Removed at the company’s request.”

A company can’t hide or edit a review or alter a finding. It gets one reply per review and can propose factual corrections, and there’s nothing it can pay for. Corrections and appeals.

    • Scam Finder won’t say: “A moderator will look into it.”

Moderation, corrections and appeals are automated, labelled as automated, and end in a reasoned outcome. Don’t expect a person to read your case.

    • Scam Finder won’t say: “We’ll get your money back.”

Scam Finder can’t recover money. Your bank or payment provider is where that starts, and this plan tells you who to call first.

So don’t believe this one. Scan it.

Scam Finder gets the same check as any other website. If a finding looks wrong, here or anywhere else, challenge it. You don’t need an account.
